Born in New York City in 1953, I enjoyed early childhood living in one of the City's earliest artists' colonies which is now an official N.Y.C. historic site. My family moved to North Branford, Connecticut when I was twelve. As a very shy child the creative process provided an important outlet for self expression. Courses of study include art history, calligraphy, Chinese brush painting, silkscreen design, stained glass, drawing, and mixed media. I am recently retired and able to give my full attention to my art. Currently, I am a member of Syntax mixed media artists, a group of nine Connecticut women who are exhibiting throughout Connecticut as a collective as well as individually. We also meet for a regular independent study and critique group.
I am a Reiki Master, as well as a graduate of the New England School of Feng Shui, studying with internationally recognized experts in their field. This deep understanding of universal life force energy and its importance in our lives and passions plays a significant role in my creative process. I have been practicing Svaroopa yoga for over five years and the focus of my practice is to foster a deep connection to the universal creative Self.
